ROBINSON-MCDOWELL HOUSE c. 1891
207 East Hightower
Built by Charles Robinson as a one story cottage, the second floor was added by his brother James in 1898. The McDowell family owned the house from 1912 until Miss Amy Bower purchased the home in 1958 . The home was restored in 1973 by the current owners. The front full length windows open onto the porch with its Chinese Chippendale balustrade. The carved and etched railings also give a Gothic air to the home.
Current owner is Morgan Hollis
