In the spring, the gardens of Mrs. Thomas Walter Sigman are a veritable showcase of color. The development of the fine shrubs, especially boxwood, creates interest all year. The home was built in the 1850’s by Will Akridge and the Sigman family purchased it in 1929. The gardens are currently maintained by Mrs. Celeste Sigman Dupree daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Walter Sigman.
