Perlowin House

Knox-McKibben-Huff-Miller-Perlowin House
c. 1840
336 West Hightower Trail
Current Owners - Max and Cheryl Perlowin

This house is listed individually on the National Register of Historic Places and the rear architecture details date back to the early 1840's. Wood shingles and "sunburst" designs decorate the gables and elaborate dentil work is displayed on the cornice. The one-story porch is supported by Tuscan columns and has a small conical-roofed "turret" on one corner. In 1885, George E. Knox, a local merchant, added on to and "Victorianized" the house. The McKibben family bought the house in the 1920's and lived there until Jerry Huff purchased it in 1973. Phil and Angie Miller next purchased the house and later sold it to the current owners.
