This lovely Greek Revival house was built in 1916 by Mr. Sanders Upshaw. The house was beautifully maintained throughout his life and that of his wife, Ruby Cook Upshaw. In the 1960's, Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Stephens, Jr. purchased the house and Mrs. Stephens resided there until the early 1990's. For a brief time, the house was the exclusive boutique, "Silk Tassels" (Proprietor, Mrs. Callie Sheperd Moreland), until the current owners purchased the property. Over a period of several years, the current residents, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Ewing, have meticulously renovated both the interior and exterior, including dependencies.
