Just found out that Marc Orchant, the “geeks’ geek,” has started his own blog: Platform Agnostic. It’s only been up and running for a short while, but he already has some great posts! I’ve added a link to his site in our right sidebar links. Marc and James Kendrick of jkOnTheRun always stay up to speed with the latest tech happenings and have great insights and tips.
Also, came across this really informative Get Rich Slowly article today on the “proper care and feeding of your credit score.” Much to my surprise, I learned from this that it can be best to NOT close out unused credit card accounts. Good timing on this advice, as I have been thinking of closing out a couple.

it can be best to NOT close out unused credit card accounts
This is best for your credit score. What is best for you will depend on your circumstances. If you have trouble with self-control, it’s probably best to close out the accounts anyhow, and take the hit to your credit score. If, however, you can avoid using the accounts, then yes, it’s best to keep them open.

Thanks for the nice words and for adding me to your blogroll Bruce!
My great pleasure to add you to the blogroll and to be able to let folks know that you really know your stuff. Wish I knew half the tech stuff you do! Best of luck with the new site.
